We hope you are all keeping fit and healthy? We're excited to be planning to run our series of Mad Hatter Events in 2021. Naturally we await the definite Government go-ahead and we will do everything possible to ensure that these events go ahead in a true Mad Hatter style, but if this is compromised in any way by Government restrictions we may have to change, move or cancel the event, fingers crossed this won’t be the case. Keep safe, keep well and keep training!
SWIM SUP RUN
26th June
The ultimate alternative triathlon for all skill levels – the Swim-SUP-Run at Polkerris beach. The traditional bike leg is replaced with a Stand Up Paddleboard! No fancy carbon bikes, just you, a SUP board and your core strength. So whether you're a novice or experienced triathlete, this proves to be a different kind of challenge.
The tri starts with a 750m sea swim. Once completed and after a quick transition on the beach you'll pick up your SUP and jump aboard for a 1.5km paddle before returning to the beach and back into transition for the final leg, an out and back run along the South West Coastal Path towards and along Par beach before looping back and returning to finish back at Polkerris.
The event is open to both individual and relay entries so if you don't fancy doing all three disciplines, grab a mate or two and do one each! The races will be run as two separate events with the team event being held after the individual so if you're really keen you can do both. All you have to do is enter both the individual and team events in the entry form.

Registration will take place at Polkerris and we can transport you to the start in Charlestown unless you have your own transport with family/friends.
SWIM FESTIVAL
August 28th
The Swim Festival is a mass-participation open water sea swimming event and a great chance to challenge yourself in a particular distance. If you're feeling fit and strong you could swim two or even all three distances!
The event offers a choice of a 1km, 2km, or 3km distance. The course will consist of 1km laps and will include a very short Australian exit near the water's edge ideal for spectators.
Each swim will have a separate start time. The festival will begin with the 3km swim followed by the 2km and then the 1km. This order will help those who are doing all 3 distances, clocking up a total of 6km and earning some well deserved kudos!
