SAILING & WINDSURF WEEKEND YOUTH CLUBS

If you're local and want to get your children out on the water regularly to have fun and develop skills, join our weekly sailing and windsurfing clubs. 

 

Learning a new skill and having lots of fresh sea air and physical exercise...Good for confidence and character building, and to learn safety and respect of the ocean.

FLEXIBLE AND FUN WEEKLY CLUBS

Our weekly clubs are all about getting out on the water, socialising and having fun, whilst working towards the next youth RYA stage. 

You don’t have to commit week in, week out.

To join, you buy a credit block and can book as and when you're able to attend. Credits are available in blocks of 5 (£60) or 10 (£100). One credit is used per session. 

The Roseland Youth Sailing Trust (RYST) are an organisation we work closely with through our school sailing programme, enabling children to get out on the water and learn to sail. They are able to partly or fully fund places on the club. Get in touch with our team to find out more information.

    JOIN OUR CLUBS

     WINDSURF CLUB

    Our weekly windsurfing club is all about getting out on the water, socialising and having fun, while working towards the RYA Windsurfing schemes. Suitable for beginners, as well as those who have tried windsurfing before. Sessions will consist of a mix of land-based demos, tacking drills on the water, and plenty of fun and games!

    Sunday, 4pm - 5.30pm

    Pricing

    Credits are available in blocks of 5 (£60) or 10 (£100). One credit is used per session.

    Requirements

    No experience needed
     

    BEGINNER SAILING CLUB

    Our Beginner Sailing club is perfect for those who have already gained their Stage One and want to begin working towards their Stage Two. We will run a mixture of sessions focusing on different parts of the Stage Two syllabus. This will involve games, trips across the bay, and some theory on windy days. 

    Timing

    Sunday, 10am - 11.30am

    Pricing

    Credits are available in blocks of 5 (£60) or 10 (£100). One credit is used per session.

    Requirements

    Stage One. Must be happy in the boat, sailing out, and turning around.
     

    IMPROVER SAILING CLUB 

    For those who want to keep on improving their sailing ability in a fun and relaxed atmosphere, our improvers club will allow members to keep building on their sailing knowledge. Our sessions are designed to allow young sailors to gain more time on the water, while having fun and making new friends. 

     

    Timing

    Sunday, 12pm - 1.30pm

    Pricing

    Credits are available in blocks of 5 (£60) or 10 (£100). One credit is used per session.

    Requirements

    Completed or soon to complete Stage Two. Must be confident sailing upwind and downwind, and controlling the sail
     

     ADVANCED SAILING CLUB 

    Our youth intermediate sailing club is suitable if you are already an experienced sailor. Each week the programme varies, often linked to the weather, and typically includes seamanship skills, race techniques, beach adventures, team racing and can build towards further RYA certificates.

    Sunday, 2pm - 3.30pm

    Requirements

    Working towards Stage Three or recently achieved Stage Three. Awareness of Five Essentials and how to use them effectively to sail the boat.

    Need to get your Stage One? 

    Funding is available through the Roseland Youth Sailing Trust.
